The Town of Okotoks is getting a few more construction projects completed before winter.
Southbank Crescent Utility Work
Deep utility tie-in work is going to be happening in Southbank Crescent, beginning on Monday, October 21.
The work is being done on behalf of the lot developer and will cause the road to become fully closed.
On top of there being signage in place, crews and equipment will be onsite, so the Town is asking everyone to use caution in the area.
If the weather permits, the work is expected to be completed on October 27.
Avens Way Utility Work
Avens Way between Larkspur Bend and D'Arcy Ranch Drive will be getting deep utility tie-in work, as well.
This work was originally scheduled to take place between October 7 and 21, but the Town has now said it will take place between October 21 and November 5, weather permitting.
Due to the work, Avens Way will be closed where the work is happening.
Signage will be in place, but there will be crews and equipment working onsite, so use caution while in the area.
48 Street Driveway Work
Driveways along 48 Street in Okotoks will be getting some love this week.
From October 21 to 30, Volker Stevin crews will be re-gravelling and applying oil to driveways, as long as the weather permits.
Those who will be affected by the work will be given a notification ahead of time.
Lane closures are expected while the work is being completed.
Signage, crews, and equipment will be in the area.
Tillotson Utility Work
Crews will be doing deep utility tie-in work for the Tillotson subdivision, beginning on Wednesday, October 23.
Due to the nature of the work, Big Rock Trail between Sheep River Boulevard and Sheep River Drive will be closed until the work is completed.
The work is expected to last until October 30, as long as the weather permits.
There will be signage in place, and crews and equipment will be in the area, so the Town is advising people to be cautious while in the area.
Traffic delays are expected.
