Cochrane's south residents are being reminded about the upcoming Helping Hands food drive happening tomorrow.

Volunteers will be making their rounds in Fireside, River Heights, Rivercrest, Riversong, The Willows, Precedence and Riviera, collecting food donations for the Cochrane Food Bank.

Food Security Programs Manager with the Helping Hands Society of Cochrane & Area, April Baird says they're asking residents to leave their donations on their front step for tomorrow morning.

"These food drives are an annual thing that Helping Hands does to help the Cochrane Food Bank restock its shelves. All residents really need to know is to have their food out prior to 10 a.m. or they might get a knock at their door."

Nearly 140 volunteers helped with the north Cochrane food drive last month which saw eight and a half pumpkin bins filled with donations for the food bank.
