Airdrie Rural RCMP are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect and his associates involved in an attempted robbery at CrossIron Mills Mall on October 2, in which the victim was bear sprayed. The incident took place around 3:42 p.m. near entrance 3 of the mall.
According to police, a male suspect, accompanied by two female associates, followed a shopper through the mall and into the parking lot. While the two female associates and a child entered a silver 4-door sedan, the male suspect bear-sprayed the victim in an attempt to steal her purse.
The suspect then fled northbound to the awaiting silver sedan and departed with the female associates and child. The suspect is described as male, wearing dark clothing, jeans and a mask.
