A multi-night free program is coming to Winnipeg on Wednesday.
Liberation '24 is hosted by CAC Rehoboth Christian Centre and has been running for several years. Pastor Samuel Akanbi says that it is, "A multi-cultural, non-denominational program with Apostolic signs."
Akanbi says, "This year is unique because it is the first time that we're using Liberation 24. We are trusting the Lord for salvation and trusting the Lord for healing. We're trusting the Lord for an outpouring of grace. We are trusting the Lord for blessings and helping people to deal with situations that have become seemingly impossible."
As the year is wrapping up, Akanbi says, "It's one of the programs that we use to close the year is the time of blessing, you know for all walks of life."
Prophet P F. Owa is coming from Nigeria to participate.
Akanbi says the event is geared to being in Scripture and prayer. "We'll be taking into the Scriptures then there will be prayers for diverse groups of people. You know the the working class, people who are trusting the Lord for the fruit of the womb, or the people who are trusting the Lord for open doors. There is nothing that God cannot do. So you know that there shall be diverse kinds of prayers. So people will come loaded with expectations. You know Jesus is the solution to their problem."
When asked about the cost of the event, Akanbi says, "Jesus paid the cost, so it's free of charge."
Liberation '24 is Oct. 23-25, starting at 7 p.m. each night at CAC Rehoboth Christian Centre, 303 Lakewood Boulevard in Winnipeg.
