The Town of Didsbury, just north of Airdrie, has announced that it will again play host to film crews over the next several weeks.

According to a town notice, the increase in activity began last Friday and may last two to three weeks.

"...While crews set up and film in the area of the Old Fire Hall (the corner of 21 Street and 19 Avenue)," The town stated.

Didsbury has recently become a hotspot for major movie and TV series productions, including Wynonna Earp, Under the Banner of Heaven, and Fargo. Interestingly, Under the Banner of Heaven had scenes shot inside the old fire hall. 

    While it is unknown what is being filmed in the town, the Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists (ACTRA), Alberta chapter, lists several ongoing productions that may give some hints. Currently, the JonBenét Ramsey series is filming in Calgary and the surrounding areas, as is a production called Birth Of A Family, which is slated to begin on October 29.

    Other recently finished productions that were filmed in the area include Die, My LoveMy Life With the Walter Boys - Season 2, and Love in Translation.
