The Town of Nanton is having trouble with payments that are made through TD Bank.

They recently took to Facebook to inform residents that they are having issues when people are trying to pay a utility bill or make a tax payment through TD Bank's bill payment portal.

While the Town is receiving the money, and it is showing in the Town's account, they aren't being given proper notifications for the transactions and TD isn't able to provide the Town with the names of who made the payment.

This issue has been occurring for over six weeks.

For anyone who has made a payment to the Town of Nanton and have noticed it not being applied to their account when receiving the utility bill, it's advised to contact billing@nanton.ca.

While contacting the Town, they will ask for any backup information regarding the payment so they can assist accordingly.

In the meantime, the Town is asking for those who use TD Bank to refrain from using an online payment option, but to pay using either e-transfer, cheque, or pre-authorized withdrawal instead.
