It's Throwback Thursday - just a minute to remember the good ol' days.
I was still in high school in 1983 when I learned one of my favourite bands was on the road for a reunion tour. I was only 10 years old when they broke up so I had never seen them perform live.
The Guess Who was together again and one of their shows was at the Centre of the Arts in Regina.
You KNOW I was there, right? What a show it was. They played so many of their hits along with a smattering of BTO songs and Burton Cummings sang a few of his greatest hits while playing a baby grand piano.
It was special and unforgettable.
I'm thinking of that today as I see tickets are selling well for the Burton Cummings show at that same Regina venue, now the Conexus Arts Centre, on Monday, November 4th.
He's been making music and performing for 60 years. He started when he was 16 and just a couple of months away from his 77th birthday, he's still got it.
