The Portage Terriers are back in action tonight for their second of consecutive games against the Virden Oil Capitals at Tundra Oil & Gas Place. The Dogs won the first meeting on Sunday, October 20, by a 5-2 score.
An outstanding week placed the Terriers in the #1 spot of the MJHL's Power Rankings, with wins over the Oil Capitals, the Steinbach Pistons and the Niverville Nighthawks, outscoring their opponents 12-5 over the week span.
After outstanding goaltending performances in their last three games, it wouldn't be a surprise to see either Ryan Velan or Mitchell Kathler get the call against the Oil Capitals, as the two netminders have stopped a combined 91 of their last 96 shots.
The Terriers offence has done a solid job as well, getting lots of production from throughout the lineup, and will hope to continue that trend, as Cam Bullinger and Nolan Nenow lead the way, each already well into the double digits in points.
Action begins at 7:30, and the Hi-Tec Industries Pre-game Show starts at 7:20 p.m.
