A new up-and-coming Airdrie artist has released her first single.
Aisha Lincz a pop artist is looking forward to a career in music after releasing her first-ever single "Poison" earlier this month with more music to come next month. Lincz shared some insight on her new single.
"It's about a relationship where someone is head over heels, despite it being toxic, but it's portrayed in a super fun way. When I wrote it, I thought the concept and the name was a fun idea to sing about."
She also noted when making music the goal is to energize her listeners and have something fun and upbeat.
Lincz shared that she has been working on "Poison" since April. She shared what she has heard from her listeners so far.
"The listeners have loved it. We're also working on a remix, which will be out in the next couple of weeks, which is even more upbeat. I'm super excited to put that out for everybody."
She shared how her love for music started and why she started releasing songs.
"I've always loved music, singing, and songwriting. I started writing songs when I was 17, and after high school, I recorded quite a few songs, but I never released anything at that time."
After starting a life, attending university and having kids, she decided to return to music and follow her passion.
"I hope to reach as many people as possible and inspire people with my music and for as many people to enjoy and love my song as possible."
She also mentioned joining the list of all the other amazing Airdrie artists.
"It's wonderful to have so much local talent that represent all kinds of different genres. I'm a bit different than the other artists, but I hope everybody will like my music."
She plans to release her first-ever EP next month (date yet to be set) but did share they will be upbeat and one will be a cover song.
