After receiving reports of a red Buick driving erratically in the 400 block of Eugenie Street, officers entered into an investigation.
At approximately 2:35 a.m. on Thursday, members of the FIight Operations Unit (Air1) spotted the vehicle in the back lane of Horace Street, where it pulled into a surface parking lot in the 100 block of Youville Street.
Air1 gave directions to East District General Patrol officers on the ground.
The vehicle fled from police at a high rate of speed after it was determined it was stolen. It eventually lost control and hit a chain link fence, a parked vehicle, a wooden fence and a home in the 300 block of Des Meurons Street.
The male youth driver fled on foot as Air1 continued tracking him as they safely guided officers to the 200 block of Horace Street where he was arrested. A male youth passenger was also taken into custody at the vehicle without incident.
No injuries were sustained.
A 15-year-old male now faces several charges including, flight while pursued by a peace officer, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, break enter and theft - place, failure to stop at the scene of an accident, and two counts of failure to comply with sentence.
He was detained in custody. The passenger has been released with no charges.
