The Town of Diamond Valley will be getting lit up in December.

Light Up Diamond Valley is returning, and there is plenty to do for everyone who makes their way down to kick off the holiday season.

On Saturday, December 7, there will daytime fun in the Turner Valley side of town.

From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., there will be the High Country SPCA Market at the Flare n' Derrick Community Hall, which will have holiday gifts from local vendors.

The market will help support the High Country SPCA.

Numerous businesses on the Turner Valley side of town will also be hosting special deals and activities throughout the day.

The evening festivities will occur in the Black Diamond side of town from 5 to 9 p.m., with wagon hayrides scheduled from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

The wagon hayrides will depart from the Town Office.

Santa Claus will be making an appearance at both The Stop Coffee House and the Gathering Place, and he will be guided into town by the flashing lights of the Diamond Valley Fire Rescue, so keep an eye out for his grand entrance.

As part of the event, they are creating A Winter Wonderland in Diamond Valley, which will transform the whole town into a festive holiday hub, making it ideal for everyone to get into the holiday spirit.

During the event, there will be fire pits provided by the Cowboy Trail Lions Club set up along sidewalks so people can gather and warm up as they enjoy the festivities and shop.

Any business in Diamond Valley that wants a fire pit in front of their shop can request one, free of charge.

Businesses in Diamond Valley are encouraged to participate in Light Up Diamond Valley and offer special deals, host activities, or setting up displays as part of the event.

"Light Up Diamond Valley is all about inspiring community spirit and holiday joy. With hayrides, Santa, fire pits, and plenty of shopping, it’s a festive experience for everyone. It’s the perfect time for locals and visitors to come together and celebrate the season in a charming, cozy setting," the Town stated in a media release.
