Five adults are facing a lengthy list of charges following an investigation from the Winnipeg Police Service's Guns and Gangs Unit.
On Oct. 24, at approximately 1:15 p.m., members of the Guns and Gangs Unit along with assistance from the Tactical Support Team (TST), North District and West District Community Support Units.
A search warrant was executed in the 2000 block of Gallagher Avenue. Three adult females and two adult males were located and arrested without incident.
Officers seized the following as evidence of the search warrant:
- A loaded G2C Taurus 9 mm semi-automatic handgun with a prohibited magazine with an additional 10 rounds of
- 36 rounds 9 mm ammunition
- 6.59 grams of cocaine (estimated street value of $8,600)
- 26.37 grams of fentanyl (estimated street value of $4,000)
- 457 hydromorphone pills (estimated street value of $9,140)
- Approximately $4,700.00 Canadian currency
- Packaging material
- Cell phone
A 33-year-old from Winnipeg is facing the following charges:
- Possession of Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
- Possession of Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Hydromorphone
- Possession of Scheduled Substance – Cocaine
- Possession of a Loaded, Prohibited, or Restricted Firearm
- Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition
A 55-year-old from Winnipeg is charged with the following:
- Possession of Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
- Possession of Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Hydromorphone
- Possession of Scheduled Substance – Cocaine
- Possession of a Loaded, Prohibited, or Restricted Firearm
- Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition
- Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order X3
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
A 28-year-old from Winnipeg is charged with the following:
- Possession of Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
- Possession of Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Hydromorphone
- Possession of Scheduled Substance – Cocaine
- Possession of a Loaded, Prohibited, or Restricted Firearm
- Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition
- Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order X3
- Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order X2
A 46-year-old from Winnipeg is charged with the following:
- Possession of Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
- Possession of Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Hydromorphone
- Possession of Scheduled Substance – Cocaine
- Possession of a Loaded, Prohibited, or Restricted Firearm
- Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition
- Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order X3
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
A 22-year-old from Winnipeg is charged with the following:
- Possession of Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
- Possession of Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Hydromorphone
- Possession of Scheduled Substance – Cocaine
- Possession of a Loaded, Prohibited, or Restricted Firearm
- Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
All were detained in custody.
