It's election day in Saskatchewan - your last chance to cast your ballot. You have until 8 o'clock tonight.

Elections Saskatchewan will conduct their "first preliminary count" tonight with a second preliminary count happening on Wednesday with the final count and final results 12 days from now on November 9th.

The most recent poll results indicate it could be close.

The Saskatchewan Party is hoping for a 5th straight majority government after 17 years in office while the NDP is seeking to take charge for the first time since the 2007 election.

Saskatchewan Party leader Scott Moe has focused on a strong economy with a promise for some tax relief.

NDP leader Carla Beck is promising improvements in health care and education and immediate tax cuts.

When the election was called, the Saskatchewan Party held 42 seats, the NDP 14 and we had 4 independent MLAs with one vacant seat.

The number that continues to wow many of us is 273,010. That's how many marked an X on ballots during voting week last week. That's over 88,000 more than the 2020 provincial election.
