Early this morning, Banff RCMP responded to a concerning incident involving an aggressive male with a knife.
At 2:33 a.m. on October 28, security guards conducting foot patrols in the Banff Cascade Gardens encountered the suspect, who emerged from a wooded area.
Upon identifying themselves as security personnel, the male brandished a knife and challenged the guards to "prove it" before pursuing them. Fortunately, both security guards were able to retreat safely and were unharmed.
Despite extensive searches by law enforcement, the suspect remains at large. He is described as having a fair complexion, approximately 40 to 50 years old, around 5 feet 11 inches tall, and wearing a yellow jacket, cargo pants, a baseball cap, and a backpack.
Banff RCMP are urging the community to be aware of this potentially volatile individual and are seeking assistance in identifying and locating him.
