The HTA Knights got back in the win column this weekend with a 51-3 victory over the Spartans in Strathmore.

This was the first road game for the senior Knights football team since September 4th against Notre Dame, where they picked up a 46-0 win.

Both the offence and defence helped pick up the win. The offence scored 35 points in the first half and the defence picked up some sacks and hemmed the Spartans in their own need of the field forcing a safety.

Seth Poelzer, the MVP from the Canada Cup, showcased his skill by running in a touchdown, as he has all season long at running back. Declan Lyth made the start at QB and opened the scoring with a bomb pass to Malik Robbins for the first touchdown of the game.

Caden McCullough and Jack Bjorge would also add to HTA's score with rushing touchdowns.

The junior squad even got some touches in the game with Nash Marzoff connecting with Jayden Dorais for his first touchdown on the season.

Thomas Rowan added a touchdown himself after blocking a punt and rushing down the field for six points.

Next up for the Knights is the Croxford Cavaliers with a 7:30 p.m. kickoff on Friday in Cochrane.
