The Winnipeg Police Service responded to reports of a carjacking in progress on Oct. 27. 

At approximately 9:15 p.m., officers responded to the 500 block of William Avenue and learned that a 34-year-old female victim was robbed of her vehicle after leaving church. One female and two male suspects, one of whom was armed approached the victim and demanded her keys. She was forcibly removed from her vehicle and stolen of her personal property before she fled the vehicle. 

The victim did not require medical treatment. 

The suspects are described as:

  • Indigenous female, approximately 5’5” in height, skinny build, wearing a red hoodie with a grey jacket over top and grey pants. She is also reported to have a small tattoo near her right eye.
  • Indigenous male, approximately 5’5” in height, skinny build, wearing a baseball cap and grey hoodie.
  • Indigenous male, approximately 5’6” in height, grey jacket or hoodie.

The Major Crimes Unit has assumed the investigation. No arrests have been made at this time.
