High River Town Council was jam-packed with residents as they wanted to hear about the petition for the Aquatic Centre expansion and the Town's response.

Nearly 100 people showed up with standing room only available to those who came shortly after 3:00 p.m. on Monday (Oct. 28).

The meeting about the "Concerned Citizens Petition to Stop the Aquatics Expansion Borrowing Bylaw and Budget Concerns" during the delegation period went for around an hour and a half.

Carol MacMillan, Maureen Moncrieff, Victoria McGonigal, and Iris Priebe were the ones to represent the "Concerned Citizens" and gave a full PowerPoint presentation with things they thought council should consider.

At the end of the presentation, Mayor Craig Snodgrass requested the package that was presented by the Concerned Citizens as a ton of information was shown to the Town Council. Snodgrass said at Town Council that he will be handing the information off to the CEO and CFO to be reviewed.

Discussions about the Aquatic Expansion will be continued at a later date.
