Former Okotoks Oiler netminder Christian Green has been an absolute brick wall since moving to the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL).

Green, the Boothwyn, Pennsylvanian product who played the 2023-2024 AJHL/BCHL season with the Oilers has posted terrific numbers since joining the Steinbach Pistons this season.

The 20-year-old goaltender leads the MJHL with a 0.942 save percentage and a 1.51 goals-against average in eight games played so far. He has also posted two shutouts and holds a record of 7-1-0.

Only 12 pucks have got past Green in the first eight games of the season, and he's been on the ice for 478 minutes. Last season for the Green and Gold he would play in 23 regular season games split between the AJHL and BCHL.

In the post-season last year, Green would play in all 10 games and hold a record of 6-4-0 with a .896 save percentage.

Green has yet to commit to a school after junior hockey but if these numbers continue for the former Oilers netminder, schools will be calling.
