With Halloween right around the corner, it's looking like the weather isn't going to be too bad.

Environment and Climate Change Canada Meteorologist Justin Shelley says the weather is going to be decent.

"For Halloween on Thursday, it's looking like it's going to be a pretty nice day within the Foothills County region," Shelley explains. "A seasonal day as well. The temperature forecast is right on par with where we should this time of year."

The daytime high of plus 5 will be reached late afternoon, but the temperature will drop as the early evening approaches.

"At around sunset we will see those temperatures dip back down to near zero and then in the later part of the evening, say by 8 or 9 o'clock, we'll be, maybe, 3 or 4 degrees below zero. But otherwise, it's going to be pretty nice."

There will be some light northerly winds and a mix of sun and clouds, but they aren't anticipating any precipitation.

The daytime highs for the rest of the week are sitting around the 5 to 7 degree range, which is the average day time high this time of year.

The average overnight lows are around minus 6 for this time of year, and Shelley says that's about what we can expect for the overnight temperatures this week.

"All in all, pretty seasonal temperature wise and pretty quiet weather wise as well."
