Suitcase full of cash found at Winnipeg airport

RCMP continue to investigate after a suitcase at Winnipeg's airport was found with a large quantity of cash. 

At approximately 10:55 a.m., on Oct. 26, 2024, officers were called to a suspicious suitcase in the screening area at the Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport.

The owner of the suitcase was located by officers. 

A 30-year-old male from Calgary who was heading to Toronto has been arrested for Possession of Proceeds of Crime. He has since been released from custody for a court appearance scheduled for February 3, 2025, in Winnipeg.
