A racist tirade involving an Uber driver has escalated to the point where police are now involved.
The Okotoks RCMP recently became aware of a social media post where an Uber driver was the subject of a disturbing, racist tirade.
The post was made by a patron, and the patron's address was later provided on the social media post.
Now, those who live at that address are being subjected to harassment because of that post.
This incident is being investigated by the RCMP, but the police would like to advise everyone that the address provided by the Uber driver is not the actual address of the patron who made the post,
Anyone who is found to be participating in the harassment and threats towards the innocent third party could be subjected to criminal charges.
