Seaman Stadium had a special guest appear today with former Okotoks Dawg and current member of the Tampa Bay Rays in the MLB, Tristan Peters coming out for some off-season training. 

Peters played a single game in 2018 in the WMBL (which is now known as the WCBL) season getting two plate appearances while producing a hit and a walk.

In the 2019 season when the new league name of WCBL was introduced, Peters played phenomenally with 52 runs, 90 hits, 18 doubles, three triples, 12 home runs, 44 RBIs, and 20 walks.

This season Peters played for the Ray's AAA squad, the Durham Bulls. Once against he put up great numbers with 67 runs, 97 hits, 21 doubles, five triples, 12 home runs, 46 RBIs, and earned 63 walks.

The 24-year-old has been climbing the ranking within Tampa Bay's organization, going from the A+ squad to the AAA squad in just three seasons.

Peters is also a product of Canada as he was born in Winkler, Manitoba.
