The High River Flyers are well into their 2024-2025 HJHL season with 10 games already played and will finally host their home opener tonight (Nov. 1).

The home opener was delayed due to the Bob Snodgrass Recreational Complex (BSRC) undergoing renovations to the rink. Upgraded boards and a smoother ice rink have now been added and the Flyers are ready to break it in.

High River is currently unbeaten in regulation for the past three games with a 6-1 win over the Coaldale Copperheads, a 6-5 overtime loss to the Medicine Hat Cubs, and then last Saturday (Oct. 26) another overtime loss in a 3-2 game against the Mountainview Colts.

Tonight, the Flyers welcome the Rocky Rams to the BSRC for their first meeting of the season. The Rams currently hold a 4-7-0 record so far into the season.

The Flyers then face the Carstar Okotoks Bisons tomorrow (Nov. 2) for a battle of the Foothills teams at the Murray Arena.

Puck drop for the home opener tonight is set for 8:15 p.m. and tomorrow's game against the Herd is scheduled for 8:30 p.m.
