The Cochrane Cobras football team is seeking to qualify for high school provincials when they host Canmore today at 5 p.m. at the Cobras turf.
The Cobras are coming off a huge 21-20 divisional championship win last week against the powerful George McDougall Mustangs.
The Cobras are currently ranked third in the province among 3A schools.
Cochrane elite soccer player Aislin Phillips will be on the pitch today with the U of C Dinos women's soccer team to face the Victoria Vikes in the Canada West Final Four. A win will advance them to the gold medal game.
Kick-off is 1 p.m. at McMahon Stadium.
The UBC Thunderbirds and Trinity Western meet up in the other semifinal at 4 p.m. with the medal round happening tomorrow with games at 1 and 4 p.m.
The Dinos won their quarterfinal match against the UBC Okanagan university team, 1-0, on Oct. 25. The Dinos topped their conference in the regular season.
You can expect a physical game between the Cochrane Generals and Coaldale Copperheads tonight at Totem One.
The Gens lost their season opener on the road to the Copperheads and are looking for redemption.
The two teams are tied in the HJHL south division standings.
