Q. Why are you running for mayor/council?

A. I am running for council help make changes. I believe that council members should serve the people of Moose Jaw and prioritize the best interests of all taxpayers. Together, we can create meaningful change and ensure our city's future reflects the needs and concerns of its residents. I am committed to our community, dedicated to transparency, and possess proven leadership experience. I prioritize responsible budgeting, ensuring that essential infrastructure projects are effectively managed to enhance community safety and livability. By scrutinizing spending, I will address critical needs while avoiding unnecessary expenditures. I will advocate for comprehensive solutions to homelessness and support local businesses to stimulate job growth and economic development. Together, we can create a thriving, welcoming environment for all residents and businesses in Moose Jaw. I’m ready to get to work!

Q. Do you have experience in public service/community boards/politics? 

A. I have served on numerous committees as an educational representative and treasurer, as well as on an advisory board. I hold a degree in Business Administration from the University of Regina and have completed courses in Land Acquisition at Mount Royal University in Calgary.

Q. Do you think experience matters one way or another? 

A. Experience is crucial when making financial decisions on behalf of taxpayers. With 11 years of operations management and extensive work history, I understand the importance of considering multiple facets of each decision, including financial implications and the broader impact on the community. It's essential to prioritize the needs of the majority, ensuring that decisions benefit all taxpayers, as their money funds the council's operations and city administration. With respect to the city council position there is training.


Q. What topic/policy issue/incident was the tipping point for you?

A. The tipping point for me was realizing that Moose Jaw hasn’t progressed in the last four years in-fact I think we have went backwards. I know I can bring strong economic and financial benefits to the council, and I’m committed to restoring Moose Jaw to its former greatness. Many decisions were made that didn’t explore all possible options, and it’s time to put our community first and unlock its true potential. Together, we can create a brighter future for our city.

Q. What criticisms do you have, if any, for the politics you've seen over the last two or three years?

A. In the last couple of years, we've seen a lot of criticisms in politics. There’s been a lack of transparency and accountability, and people are frustrated. Many politicians are out of touch with the needs of everyday citizens. Decisions are often made without considering the impact on the community, and we need leaders who prioritize the people, not special interests. It's time for real change—Moose Jaw deserves better!

Q. What is your plan to compromise/cooperate with fellow council members to accomplish policy goals?

A. I believe numbers don’t lie, I’m all about looking at every option and researching more. Compromise is key, but we won’t settle for the bare minimum. I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and work with other council members to get things done. Together, we can achieve our goals and make Moose Jaw a better place for everyone. Let’s bring real results to our community!

Q. What else do you want voters to know about you?

A. As a mom of two small children, I care deeply about creating a bright future for everyone in our community. Moose Jaw is a great city filled with terrific people, and there’s so much potential for growth. Transparency is essential, and public input is crucial. We can’t stick with the same old council and expect different results. I’m here to work hard, bring fresh ideas, and get things done for our families and our future!

A. No.
