The Red Deer Rebels got back in the win column Saturday night with a 5-4 win over Lethbridge at Peavey Mart Centrium.
The Rebels hadn't played a game since losing to the Hurricanes 5-3 one week ago in Lethbridge.
The Hurricanes opened the scoring late in the first with a goal by Miguel Marques on the power play.
The Rebels would score four in the second period including goals by Beckett Hamilton, Matthew Gard, Carson Birnie (power play), and Talon Brigley taking a 4-3 lead into the final intermission.
Both teams would add another in the final frame to finish the contest 5-4 in favour of the home side. Samuel Drancak scored his first of the season for Red Deer to get the game winner.
Red Deer outshot Lethbridge 35-21. The Rebels were 1-for-3 on the power play, while the Hurricanes finished the night 2-for-5 with the man-advantage.
The Rebels start a seven-game road trip starting Monday in Calgary. Red Deer will then head down south for six games against the U.S. Division starting Friday in Wenatchee.
