These raindrops were clinging to the edge of an outdoor end table Sunday afternoon

More often than not when we talk about precipitation in November, we're talking about flaky white stuff, rather than drippy wet stuff. With that said, Sunday and overnight into Monday morning brought a fairly significant amount of rainfall to the region.

"A warm front moving through Southern Manitoba early Sunday morning brought the first round of rainfall, and also pushed temperatures upward overnight," explained CMOS Accredited Weathercaster Chris Sumner. "Temperatures Saturday evening were around +2, or so, and by the time sunrise arrived Sunday morning they were in the 5 to 7 degree range. Another trough of low pressure moved northward out of the Dakotas Sunday afternoon into the evening and overnight into Monday morning, and that brought the second round of precipitation."

According to Sumner, any lingering shower activity will taper off Monday morning as surface high pressure builds over Southern Manitoba.

"A cold front will slide through today, and that will push temperatures cooler by the afternoon, landing around three to four degrees," he said. "Sunny conditions are expected Tuesday, along with highs between 6 and 8, before an approaching low from the west brings some cloud cover over Southern Manitoba Wednesday, along with its cold front dropping daytime highs, once again into the +2 to +4 area."

For the back half of the week, Sumner noted the forecast models are suggesting a return to ridging over the region, meaning warmer than average temperatures, along with mainly sunny conditions.

+3 and -6 are the average daytime high and overnight low, respectively, for this point in November. Highs Thursday into the weekend are currently trending around 6 to 8 degrees.
