Blue Bombers fans, it's nearly time for the Western Final!
This Saturday, Nov. 9, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers will take on their rivals the Saskatchewan Roughriders at Princess Auto Stadium, and the province is buzzing with excitement. The winner will advance to the Grey Cup.
Here’s everything you need to know if you're gearing up for the game.
Game Time and Kickoff
The Western Final is scheduled to kick off at 5:30 p.m. CST, with gates opening at 4:30 p.m. for general admission.
Fans are encouraged to get to their seats by 5:15 p.m. to catch the pre-kickoff excitement.
10 degrees expected at kickoff
Saturday’s forecast for Winnipeg calls for sunny skies with a daytime high of 14°C.
Sunset occurs at 4:52 p.m. so expect some cooling to have already occurred by the time the game gets underway.
Environment Canada's hourly forecast for Winnipeg currently shows an expected temperature of 10°C at 5:30 p.m.
By the time the game is over around 8:30 p.m. a temperature around 6°C is expected. All-in-all it should still be a pretty comfortable Saturday evening on the prairies.
Wearing layers is like the best option to ensure you're comfortable to cheer on the blue & gold!
Full Game Day Experience Schedule
- 2:00 p.m. – Princess Auto Pre-Game Tailgate at the Plaza opens. Join early for food, music, and entertainment to get into the game-day spirit!
- 4:15 p.m. – STM (Season Ticket Member) Gates open.
- 4:30 p.m. – All gates open for general admission.
- 5:15 p.m. – Show Time! Make sure you’re in your seats for pre-kickoff festivities.
- 5:30 p.m. – Kickoff – Saskatchewan Roughriders vs. Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
- End of Halftime – The North ticket office outside Gate 3 closes, so handle any ticket needs before this time.
Getting to Princess Auto Stadium
Princess Auto Stadium, located on the University of Manitoba campus, will see 32,343 fans in attendance for the Western Final, so early arrival is recommended.
Additional Winnipeg Transit services will be available. Check the Winnipeg Transit website for detailed routes and schedules.
You can also choose one of several park & ride locations throughout the city where you can leave your car and take a bus right to the doors of Princess Auto Stadium.
Five Park & Ride Locations:
A $5.00 charge per person will be collected upon arrival at Princess Auto Stadium, which also covers the return trip after the game. The first bus will leave the Park & Ride location two hours prior to kickoff.
