Undefeated is the exact word that best describes the Elecs' performance over the weekend. The ECS Senior Boys Volleyball team dominated their opponents at a tournament held at Yorkton Regional High School, only dropping two sets in pool play.
"I think it's great. It was really nice to see, like, a combination of all of the practice and all of the stuff that we've been learning kind of coming together and for us to get the success from that," head coach Bryton Such expressed.
'Success' is an understatement. Based on the results, domination would be the better word to describe their sets.

Heading into this tournament, one of the key issues Coach Such wanted to button up with the team is strong service onto the other team. So, how did they do?
"It was really good. We were really consistent with our service pressure. We put some teams into some uncomfortable spots and we were able to take advantage of that."
He added that executing on the gameplan that was planned and putting their opponents in compromising situations were a couple of keys to their success during the tournament.
The team is now shifting their focus to their next event, which is Regionals at the A.E. Peacock Collegiate in Moose Jaw this weekend. He noted that this is a crucial weekend on their way to qualifying for Provincials. "With the regionals this weekend, we have to go in there and we have to perform. We have to play our best volleyball that we have this year because we'll be going up against some really good teams. For us to finish Top 2 is definitely a possibility, but it's not a given."
