The Swift Current Innovation Federal Credit Union Wildcats will be seeking their fourth win in the last five games tonight.

For the second Wednesday in a row, Swift Current will host the Notre Dame Hounds at S3 West Arena. The Wildcats won the prior meeting 2-1.

Wildcats head coach Terry Pavely said the October 30 win was like two games in one.

"I thought our first half of that game was better than our second half," he said. "They're a good team, well coached, and they have good size. We have to worry about us than anything else. Stick to the things we want to do, continually work at getting to the net."

Swift Current is coming off a weekend split with the Prince Albert Northern Bears, a 2-1 victory on Saturday night and a 4-1 loss on Sunday afternoon. The Wildcats have won all four of their games this season by a 2-1 score.

"We're happy the way we're playing as a team and we're showing progress continually," he said. "I think with our league again, I've said it a lot, it's very tight this year so you have to be ready to play every night because you're going to be in a game every night."

Ashley Vezeau will continue the back-and-forth starts in net for the Wildcats, as both goalies have had strong starts to the season. Vezeau is 3-1 with 1.72 goals against average and a .920 save percent and Jordyn Ottenbreit is 2-3 with 2.15 goals against average and a .931 save percent.

"Right now we're confident regardless of who plays goal," he said.

Tonight's game will be broadcast on Country 94.1's Local Sports Live starting at 7:50 p.m.
