The Man Van is returning to Airdrie tomorrow at London Drugs from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. This is the third the the Man Van will be in Airdrie this year.

Canada’s first mobile men’s health clinic, the Man Van, offers free PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) blood testing used for early detection of prostate cancer. Men between the ages of 40-70 are the targeted group to get tested.

Jeff Davidson, CEO of the Prostate Cancer Center talked about they are returning to Airdrie for a third time.

"Consistency matters when it comes to early detection. Like many communities across Alberta, the Man Van shows up where and when it can to public events to make sure that we talk to guys about the importance of early detection when it comes to prostate cancer."

According to Davidson, one in six men will face prostate cancer, a disease that has little to no symptoms, so it's important to get checked regularly.

"We always encourage men over the age of 40 and 70, to come and talk to us, again, It's a simple blood test that could help save your life."

During November, The Prostate Cancer Center partnered with the AGAT Foundation to help fundraise for a new Man Van. The foundation will match donations up to $350,000

"It's time for another unit. More and more we find across the province, that the need is growing, which is why we're trying to build a second van, so that we make sure that no man in their family gets left behind."
