The Bentley in Swift Current hosted their first-ever luncheon fundraiser in support of the Rotary Club just yesterday with steak and jambalaya.
Around 38 community members attended the fundraiser which garnered over $760 for the local non-profit.
Donald Koch, lifestyle consultant at the Bentley, noted that events like these are an ideal opportunity for community members and their loved ones to check out the Bentley and see what retirement living there looks like.
"We had a nice steak dinner today, we invited guests in and guests paid a fee for their meal," he said. "Every dollar that they paid is in the process of going to the Rotary Club, locally here in Swift Current."
The meals were $20 each per person and even included angel food cake for dessert.
Additionally, a performance with live music from the Yesterday Band took place around 2:00 p.m. for residents and guests to enjoy.
