Rosetown, SK – The Rosetown and Kyle RCMP responded to a series of incidents last week, ranging from erratic driving complaints to break-ins and well-being checks. Officers issued 51 traffic-related charges, responded to several emergency calls, and investigated multiple complaints across the region.

Break-Ins and Assault Investigation

  • November 1: At 8:58 a.m., RCMP received a report of a break-in at the Kyle Post Office. Due to insufficient evidence, no charges were filed.
  • November 5: Rosetown RCMP responded to a break-and-enter at a residence in Rosetown. A 36-year-old male was charged with breaking and entering with intent, uttering threats, three counts of mischief, and failing to comply with an undertaking condition.
  • November 4: RCMP launched an investigation into an assault in Rosetown, which remains ongoing.

Wellbeing Checks and Traffic Incidents

  • Wellbeing Checks: Rosetown RCMP conducted wellbeing checks on November 2, 3, and 6 in response to community concerns.
  • Vehicle Collisions: Officers responded to two vehicle collisions involving deer on Highway 4—one on November 4 and another on November 5. Both incidents were reported for insurance purposes, and no injuries were reported.

Erratic Driving and Traffic Complaints

Numerous reports of erratic driving on Highway 7 were reported throughout the week:

  • November 3: Kyle RCMP located a driver following a complaint of erratic driving.
  • November 5: Another erratic driver was stopped, and the driver received a verbal warning.
