Gull Lake had a large influx of Christmas shoppers on Saturday.

The Wrap it Up for the Holidays Craft and Trade Show made a return, once again being spearheaded by Paige Farr. The local EMS worker has been organizing this event for a couple of years now.

"It's a good way to try and get people ready for Christmas and start shopping and finding items that would be great for presents," said Farr.

This year, Farr had 36 vendors come to the Gull Lake Rink and Events Centre. The headcount for the show ended up in the ballpark of 300 total, being very comparable to last year.

For Farr, the best part of running the show is the good it does for the community.  The Autumn House runs the front doors and receives all the proceeds from the door. Gull Lake EMS runs the canteen and gets the dollars made from that effort. Finally, the third charitable partner is Gull Lake Christmas Hampers, which takes the proceeds from the table and raffle, and puts them towards ensuring those who have needs on Christmas aren't left without.

"I like to make sure that it all stays community-based," said Farr.

If anyone would like to sign up as a vendor or inquire about other roles or partnerships for the next Wrap it Up for the Holidays Craft and Trade Show, they can contact Farr on Facebook.
