The high school football season came to an end on Saturday, with provincial finals across Saskatchewan ranging from six-man, nine-man and twelve-man.
The Wakaw Warriors fell short in their attempt to win a provincial championship in 2A six-man football as they were defeated by the Clavet Cougars 90-51.
Saturday’s loss was the first for Wakaw this season, while Clavet capped off a perfect 2024 season winning six regular season games and three playoff contests.
In the 1A six-man bronze medal game, the St. Brieux Crusaders were able to end their season off on a high note, with a 43-42 win over Lemberg. St. Brieux ends their season with a 6-1 record and their only loss coming in the provincial semifinals to Hanley.
