A special city council meeting has been scheduled for tonight to swear in the newly-elected city council.
Council chambers will be buzzing with activity starting at 4 p.m. as mayor-elect James Murdock and the new city councillors will take the oath of office and officially take their seats around at the council table.
Elected as city councillors are Jamey Logan, Patrick Boyle, Chris Warren, Heather Eby, Dawn Luhning and Carla Delaurier.
After the swearing in, the city clerk will turn the meeting over to the new mayor for his inaugural address.
Also at the meeting, council will appoint a deputy mayor, executive committee chairperson and personnel committee chairperson.
