The ABBA-inspired musical ‘Mama Mia!’ will be coming to the Moose Jaw Centre for Arts & Culture Thursday, Nov. 21 through Sunday, Nov. 24.
Vanier Theatre Productions is putting on the show, with performances on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7 p.m., and a matinee on Sunday starting at 2 p.m.
“Not only is it great music and great fun – it has such a beautiful story about a mother and daughter really finding their identity and bringing them closer together through events of the past,” said cast member Natalie Warren, who plays Donna.
Cast member Charlie Lemcky plays Donna’s daughter, Sophie, and said performing ‘Slipping Through My Fingers’ is the highlight for her. “I have such a connection with Natalie, so not only is it between us, but it’s also between our characters, so it’s probably my most favourite part because it’s so special to me.”
Warren agreed. “It’s just super emotional for us, because we’ve worked together for so long, and then just seeing her grow – I feel connected to this song.”
