Following Tuesday's snowfall, and the wind that came with it, a number of highways in the southeast have less than ideal driving conditions.

As of 6:00 Wednesday morning, all highways directly through Weyburn are being reported as snow covered with drifting snow, icy sections and reduced visibility. Highway 39 from Yellow Grass to Moose Jaw, and where it turns into Highway 6, along with all areas within a 15 minute drive of Regina, are currently showing as travel not recommended. Highway 1 from Pilot Butte all the way to the Manitoba border is currently closed.

The highways being to clear up a bit once you get close to Estevan, with areas around Midale, Stoughton and Torquay showing winter driving conditions.

Highways will change throughout the morning. For the latest you can head to our Road Report link.

In Weyburn itself, a number of areas are reporting high snow drifts and slippery roads. Crews have been seen out in the city to get streets, sidewalks and parking lots cleared off.
