The Art Gallery of Swift Current recently announced the launch of a brand-new artist talk series they'll be hosting called Art for Lunch.
Swift Current's own Hugh Henry will be featured at the very first Art for Lunch coming up on November 26 during noon hour.
Luke Maddaford, curator of exhibitions and programming at the Art Gallery of Swift Current, noted that Art for Lunch will be an ideal opportunity to learn about the ideas behind the artwork and the process while showcasing local artists.
"It'll be happening every two months and we'll be bringing in a local artist to talk about their practice, show some of their work, answer questions," he said. "It's a really great opportunity to get some insight into what artist practices look like."
The event is free to attend and everyone is welcome to bring their lunch and stop by, no commitment is needed.
"Hugh is a local artist who's been working the area for many years, he's contributed to many projects in the community," shared Maddaford. "We're really excited to have him talk about his work and share it with the community."
