A group of students at Vanier Collegiate are preparing for the annual Community Christmas Dinner on November 30th.
This is a chance for families less fortunate to enjoy a proper Christmas dinner during the holiday season.
Keira Zimmerman is one of the students organizing the event. She talked with Mix 103's Calum McAnally.
"People can sponsor plates for families so that families can come have a Christmas Dinner for free if they can't afford it, and they can just enjoy the magic of Christmas with all the decorations. We're going to have a Santa corner, and even a penny parade."
Have a listen to the full conversation with Keira below.
All money that is collected from the event will go to local food banks, food drives, and other charities around the community.
They're looking for people and businesses to sponsor plates for families. If you'd like to help out or buy a ticket for the meal, stop by Vanier Collegiate, or call the office 306-693-6744.
