A 26-year-old man charged after a fatal rollover on Main Street earlier this month made another appearance in Moose Jaw Provincial Court on Wednesday.
Tyrel Cronan appeared via video from the Regina Correctional Centre and was represented in court by lawyer Merv Nidesh.
Nidesh asked that a bail report be issued for the availability of GPS or electronic monitoring and asked for an adjournment to Dec. 2.
Judge Ross Green ordered the bail report and accepted the adjournment to Dec. 2.
Cronan is facing charges including impaired driving causing death, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and flight from police.
On Nov. 8, police received a call around 11:42 p.m. of a silver Honda driving erratically and chasing the caller’s vehicle. According to police, the caller said that had been a previous physical altercation.
A few minutes later, the police located the vehicle travelling northbound on Main Street at a high rate of speed. Police followed the vehicle until it struck a median and rolled over on the 1300 block of Main Street North.
A 31-year-old male passenger was killed, while the driver and a second passenger were injured in the incident.
Saskatchewan Serious Incident Response Team is investigating the Moose Jaw Police Service’s action from the incident.
