The Dr. Noble Irwin Regional Healthcare Foundation has appointed a new executive director.
The role is being assumed by Kris Johnson, who is the longest-serving member of the DNIF staff. She was previously serving as the administrative assistant, which is now an open position the DNIF is hiring for.
Helen Arnold, chair of the board of directors for DNIF, is happy with the board's selection, as Johnson proved she could serve in the role admirably while acting as the interim executive director since August.
"As the board, we met collectively and decided to award that position to her," said Arnold. "She's very familiar with the workings of the foundation."
Johnson takes over the position from Chris Martens. Her permanent appointment to the job means she will have the flexibility to help steer the DNIF in a more direct manner, in coordination with the board of directors.
Anyone who would like to extend their congratulations, or inquire about possible partnerships and events with the DNIF can call the office at 306-778-3314.
