A classic Christmas carol is getting a fresh twist from two Canadian artists.

Made in Manitoba's Barbara Joy Siemens is teaming up with Chelsea Amber for 'O Holy Night.' "Chelsea and I have been singing together for a little while, her being my vocal coach and so we've had some plans to do this," Siemens says.

Siemens says she is excited for listeners to hear the song. "It is just a very, very special song. If you look at the piece and you're singing it with great worship, thinking back to the angels, shepherds, and the wise men coming to see this baby with that awe, wonder and reverence as they look into this manger and there's the King."

The track was produced by Canadian Matt Lefait, a first for Siemens. "This was my first time actually working with Matt and it's been a good experience."

Taking the classic carol and putting her own spin on it was a fun process for Siemens. "We wanted a contemporary sound on it. How do you take a song that is so great? It's one of the most famous Christmas carols of all time. How much did we want to add of our own? I added on a tag at the end. But other than that, we went basically with the song that we had set up. It all came together well."

Along with 'O Holy Night,' Siemens has released other Christmas music such as 'O Little Town of Bethlehem,' 'Away in a Manger,' and 'Joy To The World.'
