A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for a semi driver involved in a collision that claimed the life of a mother and daughter west of Altona last week.
The two-vehicle crash happened on Nov. 15, shortly after 7 p.m. at the intersection of Provincial Road 201 and Provincial Road 306, about 13 kilometres west of Altona.
The RCMP says they believe the semi drive did not stop at a stop sign and struck the other vehicle.
On Nov. 20, 2024, 25-year-old Navjeet Singh was charged with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle Causing Death x2 as well as Obstructing a Peace Officer.
Officers have tried to locate Singh in Winnipeg but have not been successful, and as a result, a nationwide warrant has been issued.
