The Swift Current Rural RCMP is investigating a string of targeted crimes committed towards an individual living in Cabri.
Since 2019, the elderly victim has been harassed and assaulted during numerous incidents.
Police say the most recent occurrences have descaled with the victim being shot at by a pellet gun and injured twice in the process by pellets since April of 2024.
Prior incidents include eggs thrown at their garage, soup, minnows, and oil thrown on their truck, and “Village idiot” spray painted on the garage and water tank.
The man has also been targeted on social media with posts on the community bulletin board calling him a “village idiot”.
