RCMP advised that around 12 p.m., November 23, that searchers located George Haslen's pickup truck with George inside on a road near Rapid City.

Local first responders did provide medical assistance, but Haslen was pronounced deceased on the scene.

RCMP are asking for the public's assistance in locating a community member.

On November 22, at 8:20 p.m., Spruce Plains (Neepawa) RCMP were alerted that an elderly man had not returned from a drive taken earlier that day.

George Haslen, 81, was last seen on the afternoon of November 22 at 3:00 p.m. when he left his home in his white 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn pickup truck with Manitoba licence plate BEA 873.

RCMP note that Haslen is approximately 6’1”, 175 lbs with grey hair and wearing a red plaid flannel shirt, grey pants, blue hat and winter boots.

Extensive patrols by the RCMP and his family have yielded negative results so far.

Police and family are concerned for his wellbeing as he’s not dressed for the weather.
