Kick off the holiday season with Homestead Co-op’s beloved Breakfast with Santa, happening this Saturday at the Carman Community Hall. From 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, enjoy a morning filled with festive fun, delicious food, and the magic of Christmas—all while supporting a great cause.
Pancakes, photos, and plenty of fun
Start your day with a delightful breakfast of pancakes, sausages, hot chocolate, and coffee. The meal is available by donation, with all proceeds going to the Carman and District Christmas Cheer Board.
“We know how much this community values giving back,” said Shannon Vaughn of Homestead Co-op. “It’s a small way we can all come together to help make the holidays brighter for families in need.”
More than just a meal
There’s so much more to enjoy beyond breakfast:
-
Photos with Santa: Create lasting memories with photos by Michelle Gautier Photography, featuring a brand-new festive backdrop.
-
Crafts for kids: Golden Prairie Arts Council will host a craft station to keep kids entertained and inspired.
-
Meet Santa: Hand-deliver your wish list to Santa himself, ensuring your holiday dreams reach the North Pole.
-
Local heroes on site: The RCMP and Carman-Dufferin Fire Department will join the fun, adding a special community touch.
“Watching the kids light up when they meet Santa or dive into the crafts—it’s those moments that make this event so special,” Vaughn shared.
A cherished tradition
Since 2017, Homestead Co-op has made Breakfast with Santa a signature event for the Carman community. This year’s celebration involves 24 volunteers, including students from Carman Collegiate who helped with setup. “This is the most volunteers we’ve ever had,” Vaughn noted. “It’s amazing to see so many people come together to make this event a success.”
