The Richardson Pioneer Weyburn Red Wings will have to wait a little longer before playing in front of their fans at Crescent Point Place. Issues with the ice plant at the arenas in Weyburn have prompted the team to reschedule their game on Friday night against the Humboldt Broncos to Monday night.
The Red Wings have had their last two games postponed – one against the Melville Millionaires last Tuesday due to weather conditions, and their game against the Yorkton Terriers this past Tuesday due to the ice plant issues. The last game for the Red Wings was on November 16th, when they entertained the Battlefords North Stars at Crescent Point Place.
The game against the Millionaires has been rescheduled to December 10th in Melville. There has been no date announced for the game against the Terriers as of yet.
The Red Wings will be back in action this weekend, however. They are scheduled to be on the road Saturday night when they travel to Estevan to take on the Bruins. This will be the second meeting of the season between the two clubs, with the Red Wings winning the first match-up by a final of 3-0 on November 9th. You will be able to catch all the action in that game on Great Plains Ford Red Wing Radio Country 106.7, starting with the pregame show at 6:45.
