Earlier this month, the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) and Manitoba Junior Hockey League held the Western All-Star Showcase in Warman as a selection camp for the selection camp for Team Canada West in the World Junior 'A' Challenge
Three members of the Humboldt Broncos participated. Defenceman Oakley McIlwain and forwards Jacob Strizzi and Connor Miller.
Today, Hockey Canada announced the selection camp roster for Team Canada West and all three players from the Broncos were among the 60 players who have been invited to Calgary.
The Selection Camp runs next week, beginning on Tuesday, December 3 with the final squad announced on Thursday, December 5.
The World Junior A Challenge is from Dec.9-15 in Camrose, AB.
This season, Strizzi has 26 points (11G-15A) in 18 games, Miller has 14 points (7G-7A) in 22 games, and McIlwain has 14 points (3G-11A) in 19 games
Broncos Assistant Coach Carter Hansen is a part of Team Canada West’s coaching staff as the Video Coach.
