Paul Baloche has touched down in Winnipeg and now is asking for prayers.

Dec. 2 kicks of his Christmas Worship Tour in Winnipeg and before he takes the stage, he went on his Instagram asking for prayers. "I find that it's pride but I don't ask for prayer a lot," he said in the video. "I just soldier on and press on in my own strength and I pray but I typically don't ask others. I feel that I would really appreciate any prayer."

He said that he would appreciate any prayer for the rest of the band as the tour kicks off. "For the nights and for the band and their health. For anointing and for the Lord to bless these evenings. That He would be honoured and glorified and that people would be lifted and encouraged."

Baloche says he knows this year can be a challenge for some people but wants to send a reminder of joy, love, and peace in Christ. "Our desire is to bring hope, and a cup of water in Jesus' name, to bring a cup of encouragement and peace."

Paul Baloche kicks off his Christmas Worship Tour on Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. at Grant Memorial Church. Tickets can be purchased here
